Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) provides various tools that are increasingly being used in the teaching-learning process at the university level. Activities that previously required a significant amount of time are now performed considerably faster. However, the use of AI must involve guidelines that regulate the ethical dilemmas inherent in this process. The objective of this research is to identify the most frequent ethical issues in the educational field with the use of AI and to highlight possible solutions. This research is bibliographic in nature, utilizing scientific articles evaluated through double-blind peer review, found in journals indexed in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases, in both Spanish and English, and published within the last five years. The main findings indicate that AI plays a crucial role as part of innovative methodologies that enable future professionals to face current societal challenges. However, both educators and students must be trained for its application and be aware of complying with the guidelines established by international organizations and educational institutions, particularly in the areas of equity and the protection of sensitive data.
